The Simms G3 Wading Boot should be part of every responsible traveling angler's set up. With Simms' CleanStream Design, which minimizes stitching, ridges and other pockets, these wading boots help combat the hitchhiking of deadly mud snails and other invasive species from one watershed to another. Now these stream killers have no place to hide. With these design features alone we believe that these boots are the ones to have; but we are also excited about these wading boots for the many truly innovative features. This is not just a new model of wading boot, but a new concept in wading boot design. This is truly the wading boot of the future. They are constructed of absolutely the finest materials available. You'll be seeing the Simms G3 wading boots from Alaska's Copper River to Patagonia's Rio Grande, and you can already see these wading boots on the majority of the Leland staff. Not sure why Simms does’nt put lace lockers on it’s boots…and I have these boots…they weight a ton.

Great boot! They are really built like hardcore hiking boots, supremely comfortable, and have great traction with the Vibram “Streamtread” sole . However, I disagree with the reviewer in that they are not lightweight. In fact, they weigh about as much as my Asolo, backpacking boots do. For wading boots, these things are tanks albeit extremely comfortable ones. I wore them for hours over a 4 day flyfishing trip, wet wading w/Simms wet wading socks and was absolutely comfortable. 2 thumbs up!

A Little on the heavy side but it is Bomb Proof!!

Vibram? lots of different problems…it’s too heavy, near useless on algae covered rocks, the soles are extremely stiff and do not allow for much foot movement…

Bottom line? I love the concept…but it needs more work.
