This new line from Sage is supposed to be an upgrade from their popular XP series of fly rods. Sage claims that the Z axis is much lighter, stronger and easier to cast than the XP series. These are great rods, but they're not cheap. The MSRP for these rods start at $630 for 2-piece rods and $690 for 4-piece rods. They are worth that price, if you have the money. If you want one, but don't want to pay retail, check out the deals I found. I've seen this rod sell for as little as $303 and many times under $500.
