The 576-4 does load well in close- that is what it was designed for. Deciding between it and the 476 ZXL depends on how you’re fishing and where. The ZXL is obviously lighter so it would be better for more delicate presentations. For bigger flies for bigger fish- think sculpins, flesh flies, etc, go with the 576-4 Z Axis. For lighter dry flies, smaller water, and smaller fish, go with the ZXL as it is a more delicate rod with a slightly slower action.

The idea behind these latest short videos is to briefly give people an idea of what to use each individual rod for- places, species, gear- as a way to help people decide between rods. These latest Z-Axis videos are too short on info. We all know they have a nice green
finish, but how well does the 576 load in close? Is it a better choice than a ZXL 476?
Can you put up some videos showing these rods on the water? I bought a 590 Z-Axis after seeing your YouTube video, but that video was done outside…..
